We extend our apologies to Professor Maria Stinia at the Jagiellonian University, for the situation concerning unauthorised borrowings from her article entitled handbooks in Galician grammar schools in the years 1860–1918, which was published in Proceedings on the History Commission of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences 6, pp. 5–39 in 2004. Our apologies are also addressed to the Editors of both journals and to the scientific community.
